Roweena is a versatile freelance  creative , based in Sydney, Australia. Driven by her curiosity, she has collaborated with like-minded creatives on diverse transdisciplinary projects such as Caring for Carers (2023), a Creative Intelligence Capstone (CIC) Project within the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation.

Roweena has a diverse academic background in healthcare and creative arts, having pursued a dual degree at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), sparking a keen aptitude for conceptual thinking and innovative problem-solving.

She enjoys working across different mediums, exploring compelling subject matters in the form of installations to short films. Her ethos remains driven by empathy and led with a vision and hope of contributing to impactful social change and planetary well-being.

Her work has often gravitated towards the use of bold typography, the exploration of visual branding, and the medium of photography. In 2019, her HSC Visual Arts Major Work ‘Bottled Up’, a satirical photo media/installation exposing the visual degradation of our existing planet through water pollution, was recognised with the Brights Award in Graphic Design; an award that highlights emerging talent across secondary schools in Australia. 🏆

During her studies, Roweena was granted the Global Shorts Travel Scholarship in 2023, as a part of the UTS Global Shorts Program allowing her to study film photography and darkroom practices 🎞️ at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) in the United Kingdom.

Roweena previously worked as a Production Assistant at the Sydney Film Festival (2022) 🎬 and continues to maintain her involvement in the Arts by working on independent productions and supporting fellow creatives in their individual and collective endeavours.

On any given weekend, you'll catch her either in the city exploring new art exhibitions, swimming at the local pool, or at relaxing at home whilst curating her newest Spotify playlist.

Roweena is working on becoming a better storyteller, listener, and friend.
